The Rainy District Library Cooperative has been awarded the Ontario Library Service – North Technology and Innovation Award.
The partnership between area libraries, school boards and Seven Generations Education Institute allows for greater access to library and on-line materials for students.
Fort Frances Public Library’s Caroline Goulding says they’re seeing results with more students visiting the library and bookings of the on-line materials.
The program has also been shortlisted by an Ontario Public Library Service Award – the Minister’s Award for Innovation.
The award winner is to be announced at a later date.
