The Fort Frances Public and Technology Centre is saying thanks to its many volunteers.
A luncheon was held yesterday in their honour.
Chief Executive Officer Caroline Goulding says the volunteers are crucial to everything they do.
“We’ve got a really dedicated group of volunteers in our Friends of the Library who support our events. They support us with money. They support us with time which is a really big thing. And then we also have other groups of volunteers that make some of our most vital services at the library possible,” says Goulding.
Board chair Andrew Hallikas agrees with that assessment.
“Money is always tight for libraries. (The Friends of the Library) fundraise for us to allow us to do those extra things that really make this library special,” says Hallikas.
The luncheon coincided with Library Appreciation Week.
