Health care facilities in Fort Frances, Atikokan and Rainy River will make use of funding from the federal and provincial governments.
Riverside Health Care is receiving more than $1.9 million in combined funding to install a sprinkler system at Rainycrest Long Term and upgrade the building’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
Riverside is receiving another $1.4 million on a new HVAC system at Rainy River Health Centre.
Atikokan General Hospital will use more than $1.8 million on a new sprinkler system and HVAC unit.

Riverside Health Care Facilities Inc.- Rainy River Health Centre
This project will upgrade the HVAC and AC system to provide reliable heating, cooling, filtration and ventilation throughout the facility. In addition, this project will remove and replace the existing thin-walled dry pipe system within the attic.
