The workforce at the Fort Frances Power Corporation has logged more than 125-thousand hours without a loss time accident.
The milestone was reached in July, and the number is still rising.
Chief Executive Officer Joerg Ruppenstein says it’s very significant for the Power Corp.
“We’re extremely happy to be this fortunate and not have any accidents happen. That takes everyone’s doing, It takes good leadership. It takes the guys, good training. It’s just an outstanding accomplisment.”
Chair of the Power Corp. board of director Larry Cousineau says it’s extremely important to the board as well.
“We’re really focusing constantly giving our workforce the proper tools and equipment to stay safe.That’s always at the top of our agenda. We do our best to provide them with everything they need to stay safe because at the end of the day we want everybody to come home.”
The 11 employees with the Power Corp. were recognized for the achievement during a luncheon on Wednesday.
