The forest fire situation in northwestern Ontario remain quiets heading into the final month of the season.
Just two fires are still active, including an island fire at Asheigama Lake, about 70-kilometres north of Fort Frances.
Cooler temperatures and recent rain have helped keep the hazard low across the region.
To date, the Ministry of Natural Resources has responded to over 200 fires in northwestern Ontario this season.
