A State of Emergency remains in effect, but the Fort Frances emergency control group is beginning to wind down.
It held what may be its last meeting this week.
Fire Chief Frank Sheppard says the threat of any further flooding continues to diminish with water levels continuing to drop and little rain in the immediate forecast.
Sheppard says it means being able to lift sandbags, at least from the waterfront area.
Those at Point Park will stay a little while longer.
