About four centimetres of snow so far for the Borderland region, but more expected before the system moves out of the area later today.

Fort Frances and International Falls many see as much as 10 cms.

Heavier amounts are forecast for the the Atikokan and Thunder Bay areas.

In addition, gusty north winds of up to 50 km/h will result in areas of blowing snow..

As for the roads, town crews are out plowing streets in Fort Frances, but the intersections are icy, so slow down and take some extra time getting to your destination this morning.

There are no highway closures, but all are snow covered and in some areas, blowing snow is reducing visibility.

A number of school buses have been cancelled across the Rainy River District.
