A Wisconsin man has been slapped with a $3-thousand fine.
Brian Bates of Hortonville plead guilty to discharging a firearm without due care for people and property.
Court heard that last October, Bates was standing on Cedar Narrows Road, northeast of Fort Frances, when he shot down the roadway at a bull moose.
Along with the fine, he has been banned from hunting in Ontario for one year.
