They may not be of legal age, but students at several schools across the Kenora-Rainy River riding are becoming engaged in the provincial election.
They’ve been taking part in Ontario Student Votes.
It’s aimed at helping students understand the election process and prepare them for when they are eligible to vote.
Grade 10 student at Fort Frances High Jenna Mose says they learned about government, the parties, and the local candidates.
They also staged a school-wide vote asking students to select the candidate they think should represent the area at Queen’s Park.
The results are to be released on election night.
