Patrick Brown is a different seat when provincial lawmakers get back to work.
The Legislature is resuming today, and Brown will be sitting as an independent after he was removed from the Progressive Conservative caucus.
The current Interim Leader of the Ontario PCs, Vic Fedeli announced the decision on Friday.
Some PC candidates, though, say they’re still in support of Brown, including Thunder Bay-Superior North nominee Derek Parks.
However, leadership candidate Doug Ford has stated in a release the party is better off without Brown, as it’s done much better with memberships, fundraising and lawn sign requests following Brown’s removal.
Ford adds the interim leader has eliminated the rot in the party, and the main focus of the party needs to be defeating Kathleen Wynne.
