A study shows that most Canadian men are not taking care of themselves.
The study by the Canadian Men’s Health Foundation finds 72 percent to be unhealthy.
Spokesperson Cassondra McCory says the study looked at what men are doing to be unhealthy.
“We looked at five different behaviours: smoking, sleep, inactivity, unhealthy eating and alcohol consumption.”
McCory says 20 percent of Canadian men smoke cigarettes, more than half have poor sleep habits, don’t get enough exercise and eat poorly while almost half consume too much alcohol.
Only six percent of men are considered very healthy with no unhealthy behaviours.
