Kathleen Wynne doesn’t feel she’ll be Premier after the June 7th election.
Speaking to reporters in Toronto, the Liberal leader says while she expects to lose the election, she claims that electing Liberal candidates will keep a Conservative or NDP government in check.
“Let’s step back, and let’s figure out how we do this in a way that we can keep the province moving forward, without having a majority governmetn that will take us down the wrong path,” Wynne says.
UPDATE 1:00 PM:
NDP leader Andrea Horwath is criticizing Wynne’s decision to admit defeat, saying that now a vote for the Liberals or the PCs “mean the same thing”.
She claims both options will lead to a PC majority, which she asserts voters can’t afford.
