Ontario Provincial Police have their eyes on transport trucks in an effort to improve safety.
They teamed up with the Ministry of Transporation for the two enforcement blitz entitled Operation Corridor.
Police are concerned with the number of accidents involving truckers.
To date, there have been 3,047 crashes with truck drivers at fault in many of them.
Twenty-five of those were fatal, an increase of 25% over the same period last year.
Across the northwest region, OPP Sergeant Shelley Garr says there have been 122 collisions this year
Two of them were fatal, but Garr says in both cases, truckers were not responsible for those accidents.
